This is the day!
The corporate media is trying hard to pump up the Romney campaign in time for the first debate, and they might do it. Obama is ahead in all swing states and in the country as a whole. His lead among Hispnics, women, African Americans is huge. Almost uneblievable. So the corporate folks are concerned.

Notice how the debate is framed by the panel members. The pre-debate line is that the economy is the big issue for tonight. That fits Romney's plan nicely. If he had a plan, that is.

How about voter suppression? The Ryan Medicare voucher plan?

Jim Lehrer will probably avoid killer issues such as the Cayman Island tax shelters, Romney's refusal to release meaningful tax data, the fact that Romney-Ryan have yet to explain their economic plan.

The Romney campaign is a joke, but by the time the debate concludes tonight the word will go forth in the corporate media that Romney "won the debate" and "is closing the gap."

I think the mountain that Romney must climb is too tall, even with lots of help, but you can bet your bipee that the Koch boys will pump millions into the battle to persuade us that Romney is the answer. That money could be determinative.

Get ready.

How can we be considered a democracy when the presidential debate will only have representatives from one party debating? Where is the Green Party, the Socialist Party...ETC. To quote Jim Hightower, "Hell I'd settle for a two party system."
