CNN boycott
I have been bombarded by angry people who think CNN has gone over the gender line--again. It began with Erick Erickson, who referred to the first night of the Democratic National Convention as featuring "the Vagina Monologues." Then he said reporting on American intervention in Libya was "like women drivers with no plan, no map, and no shopping list."

Raise hell with CNN. Fire Erickson, but I don't think a boycott of the debate is in order. There is really no way to know if a boycott would be effective, so go for the jugular.

While at it, watch "Half the Sky" on PBS. it is a real eye-opener. It took guts for PBS to air Half the Sky just before the debate.

There's probably more happening than just a few anchors spouting off. Our culture has become one of crude and what sells or shocks. There is no civility or neighborliness anymore. It's as though we are actors in a bad video game filled with one battle zone after another.

Can we stop this nonsense and return to being more human to one another?
