Biggest lie yet
No matter how cynical you are, it is hard to keep up with Mitt Romney's rhetoric. He did not campaign on Saturday because he was raising money in Massachusetts. And he is unhappy about the time spent raising money. I am not making this up. He was quoted in the NY Times saying he wishes he could spend more time on the campaign trail but he must keep up with Obama in fundraising.
Mitt "forgot" to mention that his supporters want no limits placed on the amount of money a candidate can legally raise. Can you ever forget his shout that "corporations are people"?
Mitt is something. why doesn't he call for reversal of the Supreme Court's Citizens United decision?
Message to Mitt: If you want more time on the trail discussing issues, get money out of politics--inboard the public financing of campaigns. Promise that if elected you would return elections to the public sector. Wanna bet that he will not?
The Koch brothers and their minions, Scott Walker and others, have killed public sector unions. Walker through Act 10. Not satisfied with the death of public sector unions, they have trained their guns on the private sector unions that are, if anything, even more vulnerable than public sector unions. Take a look at the Caterpillar collective bargaining agreement if you need proof. A six-year agreement--no increases. Take a look at the International Association of Machinists contract in Fond du Lac. Check them out.
We need a game plan. If the management union busters will not bargain then labor must find a new strategy.
MTI executive director John Matthews will lead the breakout session on Act 10 at Fighting Bob Fest. Should be interesting. This is the first major meeting since the uprising. We need your ideas and your engagement.

Of course Romney lies, he's a politician. If Romney told the truth, no one in their right mind would vote for him. How many of Obama's supporters in 2008 would have spent their time and energy on his campaign if they knew his real agenda included extrajudicial killing and a war on whistleblowers. Didn't candidate Obama say somethng about marching with labor when rights are threatened? He was MIA during Walker's assault on public workers and every other major threat to labor. Wasn't Obama going to close Guantanamo within a year?
Neither of the corporate candidates is an acceptable choice for anyone who works for a living. These people lie to con people into voting for them then proceed to represent only those who give them the most money. What is it going to take for a critical mass of Americans to reject Wall St rule?
