Primary is a coming round the corner
Watching and listening to Tommy the "fixer"; Hovde the "bankster"; Mark Neumann the tea bagger, who is so far out that NASA should consider him for the next Mars trip! Oops! Forgot the Speaker Fitzgerald. Whoa Nelly! Is this the best our political system produces?

Hovde had the best quote: "As a private-sector business person, it never ceases to amaze me how petty, disingenuous and childish the whole political process is."

OK Hovde, if you don't like politics, get out of the kitchen. You opted to run. As far as I know, no one asked him to run, in part because he has nothing to offer. It seems obvious that he has so much money and free time he wants to get back to Washington with a sure fire recogniion that gets him the best seat in every restaurant. Not content to be super rich, he wants a leg up on other billionaires. (Herb Kohl has the Bucks. What can Hovde get? Oh, how about buying the Redskins?)

Then there is Tommy, who proves the old adage that "truth is the first casualty" in war and politics.

Yes, OK, Tommy and Dick Gephardt, former leader in the house, spoke some truth a couple years ago. "It is time to set aside politcal differences." They endorsed health care, but now Tommy is sweating like he is in a Turkish bath. Catch this: To say that he favors the law that ultimately passed is "just absolutely insane." Yah, sure Tommy.

How will Paul Ryan on Mitt the Twit's ticket affect our state elections? Will the brain-washed vote the way they are told or will they have an epiphany and realize that a vote for any Republican will be a vote against their best interests? As I read and re-read Ryan's budget proposals, he has no money for social needs but all kinds of money for the wealthy and an overly equipped military. Are we now convinced that many are trying to nationalize government services and programs? This must be stopped.
