Friends,

Our subscribers write lots of high quality, thoughtful letters, comments and articles. No wonder roughly 30,000 visit FightingBob.com every week.

Ten years ago, at Fighting Bob Fest, the suggestion was made from the floor that we create our own e-magazine so we would not have to push the corporate media to cover our events. We took action and created Fighting Bob.com. It has been a great success. Now we can expand.

We have Fighting Bob blog-talk radio and we will be pushing to make Fighting Bob a membership organization.

A lot on our plate so come prepared to get involved!

Your comments also give me guidance in writing my daily blog posts. Keep sending them. I read them all.

FIGHTING BOB FEST

We have an extremely strong lineup for Fighting Bob Fest this year. Beginning with Bill McKibben, the Paul Revere of the environmental community. Your homework assignment, due just before Fighting Bob Fest on September 15, is to read his superb article in Rolling Stone. Possibly his best ever.

Then Phil Donohue will inspire us again. He will introduce his film Body of War, and Norman Soloman will speak on how easy it is to go to war. Gwen Moore, Tammy Baldwin, Patty Loew and Terry O'Neil, president of NOW, will take on the war on women. John Nichols, Greg Palast and, of course, Jim Hightower, will make you laugh and make you angry.

The Green Party candidate for president, Dr. Jill Stein, will speak. Mahlon Mitchell and Juan Cole will inspire-the audience.

How many will attend? I don't know, but we have averaged between 8 and 9 thousand. Given the enthusiasm we felt at the recall rallies, we expect our biggest crowd ever.

Please register today at FightingBobFest.org.

Tables are going quickly, so if your group wants an exhibit table get your application in to us soon.
