Put up your dukes!
"Voter turnout reaches abysmal low." Where? Alberta, Canada where only 41 percent of eligible voters went to the polls. It would be wonderful if we thought 41 percent is "abysmal." One reason, "the hot economy in oil rich Alberta means they (the people) are just happy with the way life is." How could they be happy when they have single-payer health care?

Back to the U.S. where 90 percent of Dems who voted are unhappy with the economy.

Well, here we go. Get used to it--President McCain. It is clear that the negative attacks on Barack from the Hillary campaign had an impact and they will intensify those attacks now. As one Clinton aid was quoted on CNBC, "We will mess him up a little."

Harold Ickes will gain the nomination for Hillary even if he has to destroy the Party and hand the presidency to McCain in the process.

The good news is that the negative stuff shifted only a small percentage of the vote. Example: 60 percent of the nearly all-white green mountain state, Vermont, voted for Barack, and in Texas, where Obama carried the caucus vote while losing the primary, he remained well ahead in the delegate count and may have won more delegates in Texas than Hillary.

So, not a huge impact, but we know what comes next. More scare tactics, more pictures of Barack, and more ambivalence on Barack's religion from Hillary. If they prevail, McCain wins.

I wondered when the race card would be played again--long time since Bill Clinton played it in South Carolina. Now it is more subtle. It is religion morphing into race. Q: Is Barack a Muslim? "Nonsense" should have been her answer on 60 Minutes, but it was not to be. Why? Who circulated the picture?

To quote Hillary, "I'm just warming up."

Now the battle shifts from the delegates to the Super delegates where Ickes will be using every tactic to convince them to a.) give her Michigan and Florida; b.) take certain victory from Barack's grasp and move behind closed doors. I can almost hear McCain shouting, "Go Hillary Go."

Anyone seen John Edwards or Howard Dean lately? Your Party is about to be torn apart. Are you out there?
