Romney looks panicked
Do we want Newt or Romney to head GOP ticket? Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn! Either will lose to Obama in part because of the vicious attacks going on between the two GOP "leaders." But if forced to choose, I would move to Canada.

Romney appears to be a wealthy bully. If anyone disagrees with him he takes it as an affront. How dare you, Rick Perry, quote or misquote my book to me? How dare you, sir? A duel in the offing? At the Club, one can imagine Mitt betting ten grand on a five-foot putt, but it's hard to imagine a politician thrusting his mit with an all-knowing grin..."Want to put 10 grand on that?" Nope, said Perry who, for one shining moment, appeared rational! Newt? Well, he remains Newt.

Keep it up, fellows.

Another bad campaign finance decision from the Court of Appeals in Chicago. You know it will be bad when it is announced that Judge Diane Sykes wrote the decision. Another Wisconsin Right-To-Life suit; anther victory for the "money is speech" crowd. Decision? Can't cap contributions to organizations engaged in independent spending. Violates First Amendment.

Mike McCabe hit the bullseye--hurts the good guys, but only a little. The system is broken so one more brick won't do much. Only a little.

Up late watching Charlie Rose and Bloomberg. I saw a headline go by, "Gingrich campaign fires aide who calls Mormonisn, 'a cult.'"

First thing through my mind, "I can't believe how sleazy politics is." I guess Romney could have set this up (to garner sympathy) but he must know that there is not a lot of sympathy in this country for The Church of the Latter Day Saints.

I came to the conclusion that the Gingrich campaign set it up, just to bring attention to Romney's religion---so the good ole lower-middle class Christian boys(and girls) who are now worshipping at the altar of the tea party can get appropriately disenfranchised. The way I see it is that Gingrich is a bully and that Romney, perhaps, looks like one, but is just on the defensive.

I don't have a lot of problems with Romney; any Republican who routinely makes $10,000 bets is OK with me. It means he is human and not really that conservative. Just in case, I think, we should root for him over Gingrich. Gingrich is connected to Citizens United, whereas, I must confess, I am not sure where Romney gets his money. I guess, I just would be more comfortable with Mitt Romney as president than Gingrich.

Anyway, I am happy to be known as a Christian Obama apologist. I trust that more people than not can see how superior a President he is compared to the competition.
