Bipartisan stitching, please
Someone hit the president in the mouth--likely story! The White House, despite evidence a GOP lobbyist joined the basketball game with the intent of giving Obama a sore mouth, claims it was an accident! My guess is the president requested a bipartisan stitching of his mouth issued in writing, "Now is not the time to place bame for pick-up game injuries," or to restrict GOP doctors.
KOREA: Why maneuver in the Yellow Sea? What will we learn about the coast of Korea? Nothing, for heaven's sake. With everyone commenting that the leadership crisis in North Korea is the real problem, step back and try diplomacy without threatening American intervention.
Hot news for the Pentagon: We're broke. We are bogged down in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Palestine. We cannot afford a war in Korea!
Chalmers Johnson, author of Blowback, died last week. Everyone in Washington should be forced to read Blowback and Washington Rules. There are limits on our power and consequences that flow from our actions. It is time for restraint not blustering.

So, how is Bradley Foundation/Walker doing to meet his goal of creating 250,000 permanent, family supporting jobs--with benefits? He must create 177 jobs every day to meet his promise. So far he has lost jobs, but wait until he really hits the ground, he pleads. Well, we would have, but he wanted to be treated as governor on day 1--November 3, so we started counting the new jobs. He is 4,425 behind schedule! Damn! C'mon, Bradley/Walker. C'mon!
Bradley/Walker tells us that reducing taxes for small business and a reduction in regulations will be an effective way to create 250,000 jobs. And the Bradley Foundation's Mike Grebe, our own Roger Ailes, adds that "when ifs and buts are candy and nuts it will be Christmas every day."

When corporations and the wealthy rule, there's not much left for the rest of us except to complain.
Why are people so dumb to let this all happen? Perhaps too many think that by supporting corporate interests, the rich and powerful, some of what they have and enjoy will eventually trickle on down.
Folks, there are probably just two things in life that are sure to trickle down: pee and poop.
Elections have become counterproductive mere exercises to appease the masses. We are fed lies and liars are exactly whom we put into office.
How many more generations and how many more elections will it take for the majority of us to wise up and tell the ruling minority class not only "no" but also that they aren't loved anymore?

All the old buggaboo idiot fear mongering and demonizing crap is back on the table. The Dems have blown it but at least for two years we didn't have to listen to the GOP Social Gospel.
Fritz wonders when the the public will get it. They will get it when it is too damned late. Face it, the country more or less got lucky in 1932. We might easily have gone Commie radical or fascist. This time, when the bottom finally drops out, it may be a repeat of the French Terror. Personally, I am ready to guillotine the rich banksters and capitalists. They produce nothing and are parasites. Finance was always a tool of capitalist production, a means, not the end. Now the cart is before the horse.
Still, as long as folks run out to mall and give their few remaining dollars to the Peoples Republic of China don't expect much of anything from the people. They haven't been kicked hard enough yet.

I strongly agree with your statement about the book 'Blowback' - - - it's an excellent book that I've re-read a couple of times. "Sorrows of Empire" by CJ is also excellent. The trouble is that these books and this sort of rational, fact-based (dare I call it 'intellectual' without sounding elitist?) approach has, in the final analysis, never really resonated with more than probably 20% of the population. The reason I've come to believe this is that ultimately IF it truly DID appeal to people, we (and other countries, admittedly) wouldn't be facing half of the problems we do AND we wouldn't be electing these right-wing/no-solution demagogues and getting crassly coerced into aggressive wars and destructive domestic social policies. Also, when you read Chris Hedges "Empire of Illusion", he quotes (p.44) a study that found that 42% of US & Canadian college graduates never read another book for the rest of their lives, so it's easy to see why the Rush Limbaughs/Glenn Becks/Ron Johnsons/Scott Walkers/GW Bushs/Ronald Reagans/etc appeal to so many - - - simple answers for lazy people, a perfect fit.

This balony about simple answers that appeal to simple people may be balm to liberal poor defeated souls but...., it still doesn't answer the question as to why Dems do such lousy job at winning against these poor ignorant ones.
Talk about liberal arrogance. Adlai Stevenson had it right. When told that every think person would be voting for him he replied that, unfortunately he needed a majority. Even poor stuffy Adlai got what today's liberals don't.
Get over it, and find a way to win those people to your side. After all, most of the comfortably concerned liberals will do just fine under the GOP. The real working class will get the shaft but then you don't really seem to care because they are just too stupid to bother with, aren't they. What an insufferable bunch of arrogannt asses todays liberals really are. (Pardon the grammatical construction, please.)
