We lost a good one
Dismas Becker, who fought all his life for social justice, fought the power elite, lived his life as he preached, became a role model for all progressives, died on Sunday. Dismas, a great story-teller, maintained a sense of humor but was serious when he had to be.

Maybe it is enough to say he was one of my heroes, he was a leader, he had integrity, compassion, and an understanding of commonwealth not individual wealth.

They don't come around very often. Well done, Dismas. Well done. We miss you already.

Ed, I appreciate your blog. Today I thank you for reminding me of Dismas. Yes, we lost a "good one."
