Reality comes to Bush administration
Catch this headline: "Bush Admits Economy Faces Challenges." Wow. He apparently has been briefed on rising oil prices, he seems to know there is a housing crisis, and someone told him that the job market is in trouble. Too bad his time is almost up.
Just as I got excited that he would do something about the challenges to the economy, I saw him on TV calling on Congress to make tax cuts for the wealthy permanent. Now that will give encouragement to those losing their homes!
But, not to worry about the Middle-East. Our President is on the way for his first visit. Like the economy, word has it there are some challenges in the Middle-East as well.
Journal-Sentinel: The editors think Justice Ziegler should be suspended for a short time. The recommendation of the Judicial Commission is not enough. Should be interesting.
The Chief Justice appeared on WPT's Here and Now to push for public financing of Supreme Court races. The governor emerged recently to endorse Obama. How about taking care of business at home? The Court stepped out on the campaign finance issue. Time for a push from Doyle.
