Having fun yet?
Watching Green and Doyle spar over a measly half-million dollars is good theater. Green's campaign manager says he will spend more than $7 million, so "setting aside $467,000 is not a big chunk." (I'm not making this up. A half-million is, apparently, chump change. If so, why so tense? Why go to the Supreme Court when you could just host a fundraiser?)

If anyone is happy with our Elections Board, time for some reflection. It is about as partisan as it gets. The notion that Doyle did something wrong by having a lawyer talk politics with politicians on the board is silly. They were not appointed to be objective. They were appointed by both major parties because they are not objective. He wasn't persuading them. They were getting their marching orders.

Now you know why we need publicly financed campaigns and SB 1. Both sides provide all the evidence of a broken system we need--to persuade objective people.
