Two sets of rules
Wisconsin's judicial conservatives, who claim to hate loopholes, have come up with the best loophole ever.

Of course, now the conservative majority on the court is also upholding Prosser's decision not to reappoint the head of the judicial commission that recommended Prosser be disciplined for his horrible behavior! What a mess! However, I personally do not favor the so-called "reform" of the court that would substitute "merit" selection of judges for voters electing justices. Who would decide the criteria for the judges' merits? Now that we have seen how Republicans, in charge of all three branches of state government, choose to govern our state, surely we should keep Supreme Court judicial selection out of their hands to the greatest extent possible! How about reinstating the financial reform for the justices' elections? How about real and meaningful campaign reform for all state (and federal) elections? That's the kind of reform I could support!
